MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321082806 A) filed by Unichem Laboratories Ltd., Maharashtra, on Dec. 5, 2023, for 'process for the preparation of nintedanib; an intermediate and/or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Dhananjay G. Sathe; Dr. Dnyaneshwar V. Gawas; and Dr. Vitthal N. Yadav.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a process for the preparation of Nintedanib and/or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts. Furthermore, it provides novel intermediate and process for preparing the same. The present invention may be carried out in minimum steps, require less number of solvents, obtained Nintedanib or its salt with improved yield and purity."
