MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421102413 A) filed by Alchemie Finechem Private Limited, Maharashtra, on Dec. 24, 2024, for 'process for the preparation of mixed toluidines.'
Inventor(s) include Vikam, Monil Harish.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is improved process for the preparation of a mixture of n-methylated toluidines (n-methyl ortho-toluidine, n-methyl toluidine, and n-methyl meta-toluidine) by reacting a mixture of toluidines (ortho-toluidine, toluidine, and meta-toluidine) and methyl alcohol in the presence of copper-alumina catalyst, wherein the mixture of toluidines and methyl alcohol used in the molar ratio of 1:0.5 to 1:2."
