MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414090151 A) filed by Eurecat S. A, La Voulte-sur-Rhone, France, on Nov. 20, 2024, for 'process for sulphurising hydrocarbon treatment catalysts.'

Inventor(s) include Italiano, Giuseppe; and Galliou, Pauline.

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The object of the present invention is a process for sulphurising a hydrocarbon treatment catalyst, comprising: (i) at least one step of placing the catalyst in contact with an emulsion comprising: (ia) an aqueous phase comprising at least one acid; and (ib) an organic phase; then (ii) at least one step of placing the catalyst in contact with a sulphur-containing gaseous mixture containing hydrogen and a sulphur compound. The present invention also relates to a process for treating a used catalyst, implementing such a sulphurisation treatment after a regeneration step."
