The present invention also relates to a process for selective conversion of olefins for preparing feed stocks for recovery of petrochemicals or gasoline upgradation processes. The process converts up to 100% of the mercaptans and removes up to 50% of the di-olefins with a minimum or no loss of total olefins and minimum loss of valuable olefins. The process also increases the aromatics content of the naphtha stream when an olefinic naphtha/FFC gasoline is used for co-processing."
