MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517092267 A) filed by Dow Global Technologies Llc, Midland, U.S.A., on Sept. 25, for 'process for producing branched polyolefin.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, that process includes contacting, under polymerization conditions at a temperature from 160 C to 250 C, a single polymerization catalyst and a cocatalyst in a single reactor with (i) an ethylene monomer and an optional C3-C8 a-olefin in comonomer, (ii) an alkyl-aluminum chain transfer agent, and (iii) an alkyl-zinc chain transfer agent. The process includes forming an ethylene-based polymer having an I10/I2 value greater than 8.0 and a vinyl content of greater than 50/1,000,000C."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 28, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/017664.
