MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641061605 A) filed by Vani Agro Enterprises (OPC) Private Limited, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, on May 14, for 'process for preparing stabilized nano-emulsifiable azadirachtin pesticidal concentrate.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Teja Maganti; and Ms. Lakshmi Mounica Wuyyuru.

The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an eco-friendly process for preparing a stabilized nano-emulsifiable azadirachtin pesticidal concentrate for agricultural applications. The process comprises forming a lipid carrier phase using medium chain triglycerides, clarified neem oil, and epoxidized soybean oil, followed by incorporation of tocopherol and citric acid for stabilization. Lecithin, polyglycerol esters, and sucrose esters are sequentially added to form an emulsifier-integrated mixture, followed by addition of ethanol and glycerol as co-solvents. Azadirachtin is incorporated into the resulting mixture and homogenized to obtain a substantially stable nano-emulsifiable pesticidal concentrate resistant to oxidative degradation and phase separation upon storage and aqueous dilution. The formulation exhibits improved emulsification, spreading, wetting, and adhesion characteristics during agricultural spray application. The invention is useful for botanical pesticide formulations, crop protection systems, sustainable agriculture, organic farming, and integrated pest management applications."
