MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541014958 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2025, for 'process for preparation of chalcogen containing compounds.'
Inventor(s) include Shalini Kandoor; Sukanya Dhar; K. J. Jomon; S. A. Shivashankar; and Navakanta Bhat.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure pertains to a fluid-based process for the preparation of chalcogen containing compounds which comprise metal oxides and/or metal chalcogenides by pre-emptive addition of a reaction by-product. The fluid-based process of the present disclosure is a sustainable process for synthesis of metal oxide and/or metal chalcogenides with enhanced yield."
