The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Process for decreasing inclusions in titanium stabilized stainless steelis described herein. The method includes melting the steel scraps and ferro alloys in electric arc furnace, decarburizing the molten steel in argon oxygen decarburizer, refining at ladle refining furnace, degassing in vacuum degassing furnace, wire addition for inclusion control at ladle refining furnace and finally continuous casting to slabs. The beneficial effects include: providing a method capable of continuous slab casting of grade 321 steel; solving the problem of high oxysulfoxide inclusions in the cast slab there are by improving the quality of the finished products when processed at thickness to 0.5 mm. The process with restricts the Ca/Al ratio in steel in the range of 1.2-1.4."
