MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441019825 A) filed by Gps Renewables Pvt. Ltd.; and Agharkar Research Institute Of Maharashtra Association For The Cultivation Of Science, Adugodi, Karnataka, on April 18, 2024, for 'process for continuosuly producing anaerobic fungal biomass on a large scale.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an apparatus 108 and method 400 for largescale and continuous growth of anaerobic micro-organisms. The apparatus comprises of one or more containers and is adapted to produce a sterilized first nutrient medium, cultivate a culture of anaerobic micro-organism utilising the sterilized first nutrient medium, produce a pasteurized second nutrient medium, and facilitate growth of the anaerobic micro-organisms by mixing the pasteurized second nutrient medium with the culture of the anaerobic micro-organism cultivated with the sterilized first nutrient medium."
