MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547094104 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on Sept. 30, for 'procedures and signalling to enhance positioning integrity in wireless networks.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products to support interactions between positioning and future sensing functionalities, such as an LMF, IMF, and DTMF, by leveraging sensing as an additional measurement source to improve positioning integrity operations associated with sensing in wireless networks. One method may include a LMF receiving a location service request from a location service client comprising a request for location integrity results derived from sensing information; receiving a positioning protocol assistance data request comprising a request for sensing information from a combined user equipment and integrity management function; transmitting a positioning protocol assistance data response comprising the sensing information to the combined user equipment and integrity management function; receiving a positioning protocol location information response comprising location integrity results derived from the sensing information from the combined user equipment and integrity management function; and transmitting a location service response to the location service client comprising the location integrity results."
