The federated server (304) includes an aggregation engine (308) configured to perform secure aggregation of encrypted model updates received from the plurality of client devices (312). Each client device (312) includes a local model (314) configured to perform on-device training using mental health text data stored locally on the client device (312) and a privacy engine (316) configured to apply differential privacy mechanisms to model updates generated by the local model (314). The system includes a privacy protection layer (320) with a differential privacy module (322) configured to add calibrated noise to the model updates and a secure aggregation module (324) configured to implement cryptographic protocols for secure aggregation of the model updates."
