MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641049635 A) filed by Arun Babu Veeranki, Hyderabad, Telangana, on April 18, for 'privacy-preserving communication routing system for interaction with physical assets.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Babu Veeranki.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computer-implemented privacy-preserving communication routing system enables anonymous, structured interaction between a first user (Scanner) and a second user (Owner) associated with a registered physical asset, without requiring application installation on either party's device. A dualmode identifier comprising an NFC chip (ISO/IEC 14443-A) and a QR code (ISO/IEC 18004), each encoding an identical HTTPS resource locator incorporating a unique system-generated tag code, is physically affixed to the registered asset. Upon NFC tap or QR camera scan, the Scanner's device browser navigates automatically to a cloud-hosted Progressive Web Application. A communication routing engine retrieves the Owner's encrypted contact credentials and establishes a communication session mediated by a privacy-preserving telecommunications proxy mechanism that conceals both parties' direct telephone numbers and contact identifiers throughout and after the session. A multi-channel orchestration module delivers the contact attempt sequentially through a masked voice call, a messaging application notification, and an SMS channel, with automatic fallback upon channel failure or non-response, and with session-based throttling to prevent notification flooding. A data processing module generates an immutable, tamper-evident interaction record for each scan event and communication attempt, comprising a timestamp, anonymised Scanner IP address, approximate geographic city, asset type, contact method, and session outcome. The system is applicable to vehicles, residential properties, government fleet assets, and any registered physical asset requiring privacy-compliant public contact capability at scale in high-density urban environments."
