MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517042354 A) filed by Fibrobiologics, Inc., Webster, U.S.A., on May 1, for 'preparation and therapeutic use of 3d-cultured fibroblasts.'

Inventor(s) include Jiang, Bin; Khoja, Hamid; and O'Heeron, Pete.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides methods, compositions, and systems for producing and using organoids comprising fibroblasts. The organoids can be generated and placed in a particular storage matrix which allows for sufficient conditions for transport and reduces damage to cells in the organoids compared to known media. The organoids may be utilized for extended release of the fibroblasts for cell therapy and also for drug delivery at a target site following administration to an individual in need thereof."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 09, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/076365.
