MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134441 A) filed by SR University, Warangal, Telangana, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'predictive maintenance system and method for industrial equipment.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Shravan Kumar Yadav; Dr. Suresh Muthusamy; and Mr. Moorthy Veluchamy.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A predictive maintenance system (100) for an industrial equipment (102) is disclosed. The system (100) comprising a sensor interface (106) adapted to collect operational data from sensors (104) associated with the industrial equipment (102). The system (100) is configured to receive the operation data collected from the sensor interface (106); extract feature sets from the received operational data for fault-related pattern identification; analyze the extracted feature sets to determine equipment health status and fault probability; and generate maintenance recommendations based on the determined equipment health status. The system (100) is designed to be retrofitted on the industrial equipment (102)."
