MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012494 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'predator deterrent device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Srikantha H.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A predator deterrent device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 configured with a column 2 for providing support to the body 1, a pair of straps 3 are attached with the body 1 for enabling a user to secure the body 1, an anchor hook 4 attached with a string 5, a tension sensor for detecting tension generated within string 5, a motorized spool 7 arranged on the body 1 for rotating on its axis, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 mounted on body 1 for capturing images of surrounding, a power supply unit assembled inside the body 1 for supplying power to a pair of electrodes 6, multiple IR(Infrared) sensors for detecting speed of animals, an ultrasonic sensor is installed on the body 1 for detecting height of animals, a motorized sliding unit 9 arranged on the column 2 for providing movement to body 1."
