MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517049522 A) filed by Paragon ID, Argent-sur-Sauldre, France, on May 22, for 'pre-laminate for forming a data page of an identification booklet and method for manufacturing the data page.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to electronic passports and other identification booklets and, more particularly, to a data page intended to be attached to an identification booklet and the associated manufacturing method. The proposal is for an intermediate product in the form of a pre-laminate (100) with a board (101) which comprises a corelam area (1011) processed so as to be intended to form at least one intermediate layer (21) of a data sheet 2 and a sacrificial area (1012). Also disclosed are tabs (102, 103) with overlapping areas (1025, 1035), hinge areas (1021, 1031), sacrificial areas (1023, 1024, 1033, 1034) and protrusions (1025, 1027, 1037, 1038)."
