MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514062196 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on June 30, 2025, for 'power transmission device for hybrid vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Daisuke Naka; Yuya Ikuta; Hideto Ando; and Yudai Nakane.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem to be Solved] To provide a power transmission device (4) for a hybrid vehicle capable of supplying lubricating oil to a meshing portion (15) without using an oil guide and achieving reduction in size while simplifying the lubrication structure. [Solution] In the power transmission device (4) for a hybrid vehicle, a case (10) has a vertical wall (10C) that faces a driven gear (27) in a rotation central axis (C1) direction, the vertical wall (10C) has a first annular wall surface (10f) that faces a tooth portion (27a) of the driven gear (27) in the rotation central axis (C1) direction and extends in a rotation direction of the driven gear (27). A gap (S) between the first annular wall surface (10f) and the driven gear (27) has a smallest gap (S1) in a section from a lower portion of the driven gear (27) to the meshing portion (15), and the gap (S1) constitutes a first lubricating oil passage (51) that supplies lubricating oil that is scooped up by the driven gear (27) to the meshing portion (15)."
