MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202424050984 A) filed by Eight Factory Co. Ltd., Aichi, Japan, on July 3, 2024, for 'power system and engine cleaning method.'
Inventor(s) include Yoshiaki Nishijima; Yukitaka Ukai; and Ruri Asai.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem] To provide a power system and an engine cleaning method capable of maintaining a state in which carbon is less likely to accumulate in the engine's interior or exhaust pipe. [Solution] The power system comprises an engine, a power unit configured to be driven by the engine, and a gas supply unit configured to supply a cleaning gas containing hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. The gas supply unit is configured to continuously supply the cleaning gas to the engine's air intake when the power unit is driven by the engine. In the engine cleaning method, a cleaning gas containing hydrogen gas and oxygen gas is continuously supplied to the engine's air intake while the engine is driving the power unit."
