MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514092573 A) filed by Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Sept. 26, 2025, for 'power supply device.'

Inventor(s) include Momaya, Divyang; and Konno, Ryohei.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "To reduce a time required for a sticking diagnosis of a switch for switching a connection state of a battery and for pre-charging a capacitor, and improve convenience. In a case where a trigger for starting an inverter (51) is generated, a control unit performs a conduction sticking diagnosis of diagnosing whether or not at least one of a first switch (S1), a second switch (S2), and a third switch (S3) is stuck in a conduction state on the basis of a capacitor voltage in a case where the control unit controls the first switch (S1), the second switch (S2), and the third switch (S3) to set to a non-conduction state, and the control unit performs a non-conduction state sticking diagnosis of diagnosing whether or not the first switch (S1), the second switch (S2), and the third switch (S3) are stuck in a non-conduction state on the basis of the capacitor voltage in a case where the control unit controls at least one of the first switch (S1), the second switch (S2), and the third switch (S3) to set to a conduction state after the conduction sticking diagnosis."
