MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202044032661 A) filed by Panasonic Intellectual Property Management Co. Ltd., Osaka, Japan, on July 30, 2020, for 'power supply device, power supply system, power supply method, and program.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object is to improve the reliability of the power supply control. A power supply device (1) supplies charging power to a movable object (3). The movable object (3) includes a charging circuit (301) for charging a storage battery (300) with charging power not exceeding a maximum value thereof. The power supply device (1) includes: a first communication unit (11); a vehicle communication unit (12); a prohibition unit (132); and a responding unit (133). The first communication unit (11) receives an upper limit signal indicating an upper limit of the maximum value, from an apparatus control device (2). The vehicle communication unit (12) sends a maximum value signal indicating the maximum value to the movable object (3) based on the upper limit. The prohibition unit (132) prohibits, until a predetermined prohibition time period elapses from sending of a previous maximum value signal, the vehicle communication unit (12) from sending a next maximum value signal indicating a maximum value different from a maximum value indicated by the previous maximum value signal, to the movable object (3). The responding unit (133) sends a non-acceptance signal to the apparatus control device (2) when the first communication unit (11) receives a next upper limit signal indicating an upper limit different from an upper limit indicated by a previous upper limit signal from the apparatus control unit (2) within the prohibition time period."
