MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527052752 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on May 30, for 'power indication method and communication apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Gan, Ming; Huang, Guogang; Lin, Yousi; Mao, Zhi; and Yang, Xun.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application are applied to a wireless local area network system supporting IEEE 802.11ax next-generation Wi-Fi protocol, such as 802.11be, Wi-Fi 7 or EHT, and 802.11 series protocols such as 802.11be next-generation, Wi-Fi 8, UHR and Wi-Fi AI, and can also be applied to a UWB-based wireless personal area network system, a perception system and the like. The embodiments of the present application provide a power indication method and a communication apparatus. In the method, a transmit end device generates a first frame comprising N pieces of first information, wherein the N pieces of first information can indicate maximum transmit PSDs corresponding to two BSS operation channel bandwidths, and different types of receive end devices can obtain the maximum transmit PSDs corresponding to own BSS operation channel bandwidths thereof. Thus, the transmission overhead is reduced while the maximum transmit PSDs corresponding to the two BSS operation channel bandwidths are reliably indicated."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 29, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/134933.
