MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007247 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'potable water storage device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A potable water storage device includes a body 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3 for storing water during travelling, first portion 2 is configured with a push button 4 for activation of device, a camera 5 to detect presence of water body, a projection unit 6 for projecting a light on a path that is travelled by user for reaching up to water body, a speaker 7 for generating an audible command to guide user, a drawer arrangement 9 to extends body 1 for immersing lid 8 within water body, a pH (potential of Hydrogen) meter 11 configured at second portion 3 for detecting pH level of water, in case of appropriate pH, a suction unit 12 withdraws water from water body, which is filtered by a filtration membrane 10 fabricated within second portion 3 and stored within body 1, a level sensor for detecting stored water's level."
