MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105715 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 31, for 'posture correction assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Om Prakash Suthar; Dr. Krunal Vaghela; and Dr. Vijay Katkar.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A posture correction assistive device comprises of a wearable body 101 with a plurality of segmented plates 102 conforming user's body contours, a harness 104 including multiple electromagnetic actuators 105 for real-time tension adjustment, a vibrating unit 106 integrated in the body 101 for haptic alerts, a push unit 107 on an adjustable slider 108 for targeted lumbar pressure mounted on an inner periphery of the body 101, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 109 for capturing real-time images of the user's back and upper body for generating a skeletal map, a plurality of hollow bag patches 110 connected to at least one hollow conduits 111 linked with a solenoid valve 112 and air inflators 113 for inflation/deflation of the patches 110, multiple Peltier units 114 for targeted heating/cooling therapy, a control unit for adaptive posture regulation and a user interface indicating potential musculoskeletal risks and visual alerts."
