MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006595 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'posture correcting modular furniture for providing study space.'

Inventor(s) include Mandeep Kaur; Dr. Amresh Kumar; and Satwinder Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A posture correcting modular furniture for providing study space, comprising aa platform 1 configured with multiple telescopic rods 2 supporting platform 1 over a ground surface, an imaging unit 3 mounted on the platform 1 determining incorrect body posture of a user, a T-shaped telescopic bar 4 assembled on the platform 1 providing support to the user, a wearable body 5 associated with the device accommodated over user's wrist portion, a FBG (Fiber Bragg Grating) sensor 6 installed on the body 5 detecting health condition, a speaker 7 mapped on the body 5 alerting user regarding health condition, a motorized fan 8 assembled on the platform 1 maintaining temperature in surroundings, a LED (Light Emitting Diode) light 9 assembled on the platform 1 detecting light intensity and a LED (Light Emitting Diode) strip 10 mapped on the platform 1 illuminating light."
