MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045603 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on May 12, 2025, for 'positive electrode for secondary batteries and secondary batteries comprising same.'
Inventor(s) include Kim Yeeun; Choi Seong Won; Kim Ji Young; and Lee Daejin.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a cathode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery comprising same and more particularly to a cathode for a lithium secondary battery and a lithium secondary battery comprising same in which the cathode is formed such that the area of a cathode mixture layer is smaller than that of a cathode current collector."
