MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517037090 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on April 17, for 'positive electrode active material comprising sulfur carbon complex and lithium sulfur secondary battery having high power property.'

Inventor(s) include Kim Min Su; Kang Da Young; Kim Bong Soo; and Yang Seung Bo.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material for a lithium sulfur battery wherein the positive electrode active material comprises a sulfur carbon complex and the sulfur carbon complex comprises a porous carbon material and a sulfur based material. The porous carbon material satisfies at least one of: the sum of the particle sizes D10 and D90 being 60 ??? or less; or the distribution ratio of the particle sizes D10 to D90 being 7 or less so that a lithium sulfur battery implementing high power density and high capacity can be provided."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 24, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/019107.
