MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004003 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'portable waste cleaning device for beaches.'
Inventor(s) include Sandeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable waste cleaning device for beaches includes a platform 1 positioned on a beach surface, an imaging unit 3 to evaluate 3-Dimensional mapping of surroundings displayed over a display panel 4 accessed by user to select a portion to be cleaned, accordingly multiple wheels 2 positions platform 1 at user-specified location monitored by an ultrasonic sensor, a roller 5 configured with multiple curved flaps 6 rotates on axis to transfer soil from surface to sheet 7 that filters debris from soil, a weight sensor mapped on sheet 7 for detecting releasing of soil on sheet 7, a arrangement 8 assembled between sheet 7 and platform 1 for providing to and fro motion to sheet 7 for sieving soil, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor for detecting type of filtered debris, two grippers 9 for gripping and storing debris into a multi-sectioned chamber 10 assembled on platform 1."
