According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Electronic devices increasingly rely on frequent charging, resulting in risks such as overcharging,Overheating, battery degradation, and unnecessary energy consumption. Overcharging electronic gadgets can lead to several significant drawbacks that reduce the performance, lifespan, and safety of the device. A portable timer-based smart charging adaptor for controlling the duration of power delivery to electronic devices is disclosed. The adaptor comprises a microcontroller, timer selection interface, solid-state switching circuit, sensing modules, display, and safety protection circuits. It allows the user to pre-set the charging duration and automatically disconnects power after the set time or upon detection of full charge or unsafe conditions. The invention enhances battery life, prevents overheating, and provides energy-efficient, portable, and user-friendly charging control."
