MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020091 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'portable road barricading.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable road barricading, comprises of an extendable platform 1 constructed with multiple plates 8 installed with a strap 12 having free-ends attached with the platform 1 developed to be positioned on a road, multiple hinges 7 to accommodate the platform 1 with the road, multiple motorized wheels 3 installed underneath the platform 1 for moving the platform 1 to the user-selected location, a camera 13 is installed on the frame for capturing multiple images of surrounding of the frame for detecting curvature of the road, a telescopically operated rod 4 centrally installed with the plate beneath the strap 12 s to extend for lifting the strap 12 in a manner to form a continuous barrier on the road, and a holographic projection unit 10 installed with the platform 1 for projecting a holograms to guide the user in crossing the barrier."
