MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026154 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 29, 2024, for 'portable refueling assistive device for emergency situations.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable refueling assistive device for emergency situations, comprising a body 1 having a first and second portion positioned the surface to refuel the vehicle, a plurality of wheels 2 arranged underneath the frame for the movement of body 1, a display panel 3 installed on body 1 for enabling the user to provide input regarding a quantity of fuel to refuel the vehicle, an imaging unit 4 is mounted on body 1 to determine position of fuel inlet on vehicle, a switch 5 integrated on body 1 and accessed by the user to activate/deactivate a pump 6 integrated in container for extracting stored fuel from container, a nozzle 7 arranged with conduit to get opened/closed for dispensing the extracted fuel from container to the fuel tank of the vehicle thereby assisting user in refueling vehicle's fuel tank in emergency situation."
