MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541132905 A) filed by R. M. K. Engineering College, Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'portable pneumatic seed sowing machine for small farm applications.'
Inventor(s) include K. Sengottaiyan; K. R. Senthil Kumar; Anirudh D Davey; and Samsundar A.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Sowing machines should be suitable for all farms and types of corps, have a strong structure, and be dependable; these are the essential requirements of a sowing machine. In Indian nurseries, conventional seeding operations are frequently performed, which requires more time and labour. The seed feed rate is higher, but the total operation time is longer, and the total cost is higher due to labour and equipment rental. The objective of the present invention is to design and develop a portable seed sowing machine for small farm applications. Another objective of the present invention is to overcome the limitations of conventional sowing the method of sowing seeds by means of pneumatic disperser is required."
