MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004752 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'portable plant supporting device.'
Inventor(s) include Gurshaminder Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable plant supporting device includes a frame 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3, an ultrasonic sensor determines presence of a plant and a rod accordingly a primary and secondary joint 4, 5 configured on first and second portion 2, 3 respectively, provides movement to two plates 6 attached with each joints 4, 5 to accommodate plant and rod between plates 6, a laser sensor detects thickness of plant and rod, accordingly multiple pushers 7 arranged on plates 6 extends to grip plant and rod, an imaging unit 9 determines presence of limbs on plant and synchronously directs a link 10 configured with cutting blade 11 for cutting limbs, a microphone 12 to receive user's voice commands regarding upwards and downward movement of frame 1 accordingly multiple pop-out balls 13 arranged on plates 6 revolves to move frame 1."
