MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003706 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'portable pipe installation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable pipe installation device, comprising a telescopically operated frame 1 having a first and second portion developed to be held by user, a handle 4 is attached with first portion for providing grip to user while holding frame 1 at certain height, the primary clamp 5 is accessed by user to place a mouth portion of a pipe and secondary clamp 5 is accessed by user to place a valve that user desires to connect with mouth portion, a touch sensor assembled on each of clamps 5, 6 for detecting placement of valve and mouth portion, a tactile sensor assembled on primary clamp 5 for detecting hardness of pipe, a heating unit 7 assembled on primary clamp 5 for heating mouth portion and an air blower 8 for blowing hot air on mouth portion to spread heat around mouth portion."
