MUMBAI, India, Jan. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541122150 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 4, 2025, for 'portable neural radiance field system for 3d reconstruction.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a portable neural radiance field system for three-dimensional reconstruction. The system includes a Raspberry Pi computing platform (100) configured to execute neural network processing operations, a camera module (110) configured to capture multi-view images of a target scene, a display screen (120) configured to provide real-time visual feedback during image capture, a data acquisition module (130) configured to automatically control the camera module (110) according to a predetermined capture protocol, a pose estimation module (140) configured to determine camera poses using structure-from-motion processing, a neural radiance field processing module (150) configured to train a neural network model using the multi-view images and camera poses to generate a continuous volumetric scene representation, and a rendering module (160) configured to synthesize novel viewpoint images using volumetric rendering techniques."
