MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022624 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'portable medical centre disinfection device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable medical centre disinfection device comprises of a cuboidal shaped housing 1 arranged with multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels for maneuvering the housing 1 inside a hospital/medical centre, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 3 positioned on the housing 1 for detecting presence and type of harmful pathogens accumulated in the premises, multiple storage compartments 2 constructed in the housing 1 to store various kind of disinfectants selected from but not limited to Quaternary Ammonium, Hypochlorite, Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide, Phenolic, and Peracetic Acid and a particular nozzle mounted on a desired compartment stored with a disinfectant to kill the detected type of pathogen."
