MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006916 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'portable incense stick holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Tanuj Sharma; Dr. Rohit Sharma; and Ishaan.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable incense stick holding device, comprises of a body configured with a pair of supporting rods for providing stability to the body on a surface, a multi-sectioned container for storing multiple incense sticks, a touch interactive display panel accessed by a user to provide input for igniting an incense sticks, a robotic gripper to position a stick into a holding unit, a laser measurement sensor to detect non-coated portion of stick, an electric ignitor to ignite the stick, a RTC module to calculate ignition period of the stick, an ultrasonic sensor to detect length of coated portion of stick and multiple iris pores to evenly spread the incense smoke."
