MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007849 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'portable ice cube extracting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable ice cube extracting device includes a frame 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3, held by user via handle 4, an imaging unit 5 evaluates 3-D mapping of brick, exhibited over display-panel 6 accessed by user to input number and dimension of ice cubes to be extracted, a cutting unit 7 for cutting user-specified number and dimension of ice cubes from brick, a LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging) sensor detects cube's size and accordingly a hinge joint 8 creates space between second-portion 3 to extract cube, a pressure sensor integrated with handle 4 for detecting pressure applied by user on frame 1 and according an nozzle 10 dispenses water to loosen cubes, a force sensor installed on second portion 3 for detecting force applied by second-portion 3 on cubes and accordingly directs extension of multiple pins 12 arranged on second-portion 3 to increase grip over cubes."
