MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004413 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'portable grass cutting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable grass cutting device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 support to body 1 on a ground surface, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 for capturing and processing images of surroundings of body 1 for evaluating 3D mapping of surroundings that is displayed on a touch interactive display panel 5 that is accessed by user for specifying pattern and portion of grass grown over surface for actuating wheels 3 for positioning body 1 over user specified portion, a pair of telescopic bars 6 attached with body 1 for extending to position a pair of plates for providing movement to plates over grass in a manner, multiple motorized cutters 8 cutting grass during movement of body 1 over user specified portion, vacuum based cleaning unit 10 for transferring trimmed grass from surface to a chamber 11."
