MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411003714 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 18, 2024, for 'portable compost preparation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable compost preparation device, comprising a cylindrical shaped hollow body 1 configured with multiple rods 2, an inlet 4 crafted on body 1, accessed by a user to fill various organic materials, a motorized shaft 5 configured with multiple blades 6 rotates for preparing compost, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 7 capturing images of land for evaluating 3D mapping that is displayed over a touch interactive display panel 8 for allowing user to select area and quantity of compost desired to pack for actuating a motorized iris lid 9 for dispensing compost within chamber 11, a high torque DC (Direct Current) electric motor actuated by microcontroller for rotating tray 10 for spreading compost, an inlet 4 crafted on chamber 11 for placing a packing bag for collecting dispensed compost for actuating multiple telescopically operated clamps 12 for opening mount portion of bag for collecting dispensed compost."
