MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541129851 A) filed by Kit-Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute Of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 22, 2025, for 'portable compact electronic work station with privacy partition wall and safety locking deck.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The titled invention discloses a mobile and self-contained electronic workstation to 10 15 allowing multiple users to work simultaneously with privacy and comfort, while enabling secure, unattended charging of devices in public environments. The workstation features partitioned individual workspaces (3) with detachable chairs (13), providing privacy and ergonomic seating for multiple users simultaneously. Each workspace is equipped with internal power terminals (5), supported by integrated solar panels (11) and an external power inlet (!2), ensuring reliable and continuous power supply for laptops and other electronic devices. A safety locking deck (6) with biometric-controlled (8) magnetic locks (9) enables secure storage of laptops, allowing users to leave their devices unattended temporarily without security concerns. The overhead ceiling (10) structure protects users and devices from environmental factors such as sunlight, glare, wind, and rain, enhancing comfort and usability in both indoor and outdoor settings."
