MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020683 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'portable clothes drying device for balcony.'
Inventor(s) include Jayanta Kumar Mahato; Shivani Sharma; Preeti Garg; and Anshu Chaudhary.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable clothes drying device for balcony, comprising a rectangular frame 1 having a first portion 2 configured with suction cups 3 via rods 4 for adhering frame 1, multiple horizontal bars 5 via multiple pair of L-shaped telescopically operated links 7 for hanging clothes, a camera 8 mounted on frame 1 for capturing multiple images of user, a weight sensor configured on each of bars 5 for detecting presence of clothes on bars 5, a sun sensor configured on frame 1 that works in synchronization with camera 8 for detecting direction of sun, a pair of motorized ball and socket joints 10 for rotating bars 5 to orient clothes in detected direction and a motorized roller 11 wrapped with sheet having a free-end attached with pair of pneumatic poles 12 for unwrapping sheet for covering cloth."
