MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084004 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 8, 2023, for 'portable bathing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Suman Lata; and Bhasker Pratap Choudhary.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A portable bathing assistive device, comprises of a flexible body 1 utilize to hang from a fixed surface as per a user's requirement, a valve 2 is crafted with the body 1 for allowing the user to fill water within the body 1 for bathing purposes, a U-shaped extendable member 4 configured with the body 1 to manually positioned around the fixed surface from which the body 1 is to be suspended, a camera 5 mounted on the body 1 for capturing multiple images of the surface, a Peltier unit configured with the body 1 for maintaining the user-defined temperature of the water, a chamber 7 attached with the body 1 stored with a soap solution, and multiple iris pores 9 configured with conical unit 8 attached with the body 1 to open/close in a manner to dispense the water out from the body 1 at the user-defined flow rate."
