MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517045058 A) filed by Saint Gobain Ecophon Ab, Hyllinge, Sweden, on May 9, for 'porous geopolymer product.'
Inventor(s) include Karlsson Ola; Hooshmand Saleh; and Borgstrom Johan.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing of porous geopolymer product. The method comprises providing ground mineral fibre material (2) obtained from recycled mineral fibre objects providing a mixture (4) comprising the ground mineral fibre material activated carbon activator fibre component and water wherein the activated carbon is present in an amount of 0.1 10% by weight of the mixture forming the mixture (6) into a desired shape and curing the mixture (8) thereby obtaining the geopolymer product. The present disclosure further relates to a geopolymer product and use of the geopolymer product."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 20, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/082395.
