MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521123794 A) filed by Greenbanana Environment Solution Pvt. Ltd., Anand, Gujarat, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'pop and lock sustainable construction.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pop and lock construction (100) method by using first and second interlocking blocks (30). The length of the second block is half of the first block. The first and second blocks comprise at least one leg (31) on the first face and a complementary recess on the second face. The interlocking block comprises an extended top face and bottom face in symmetry. During construction, first row (101) is laid using the first interlocking blocks between structural columns (50) on a foundation surface (60) such that the legs are oriented downward, second row (102) is laid by placing one second interlocking block at each end near the columns and placing first interlocking blocks in between and placing the one interlocking block at the centre in such a way the extended face partially overlaps the adjacent blocks, wherein the legs of interlocking blocks get locked in the recess of the bottom rows."
