MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102821 A) filed by Rkg Electric, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Oct. 24, for 'polypropylene coated ceiling fan box rod with enhanced dimensional stability.'

Inventor(s) include Yakub Ahamad.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an improved ceiling fan Box rod comprising a metallic core rod having a diameter of 9mm with a polypropylene (PP) coating layer of 3 mm thickness applied uniformly on all sides, resulting in a total outer diameter of 12mm. The conventional ceiling fan Box rod s are either entirely metallic or have inadequate protective coatings that suffer from corrosion, electrical conductivity issues, and structural degradation over time. The present invention addresses these limitations by providing a specifically dimensioned polypropylene coating that offers superior corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, vibration dampening, and extended service life. The rod is designed to maintain structural integrity while providing a protective barrier against environmental factors such as humidity, coastal salt exposure, and temperature variations. The polypropylene coating also reduces noise transmission from fan vibrations to the ceiling structure and provides a smoother surface finish that prevents accumulation of dust and contaminants. The invention finds particular application in residential, commercial, and industrial ceiling fan installations where longevity and safety are paramount."
