MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050795 A) filed by Kao Corporation, Tokyo, on May 27, for 'polymer dispersant.'

Inventor(s) include Takiguchi Osamu; Wada Satoshi; and Oshiro Kojun.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a polymer dispersant for non-aqueous solvents, the polymer dispersant comprising a constituting unit derived from a monomer represented by general formula (1) and a constituting unit derived from a monomer having a hydroxyl group. (In general formula (1): R1, R2 and R3 are each selected from a hydrogen atom and a methyl group; X1 represents an oxygen atom, an ester group, an amide group or -CH2O-; Y1 represents a repeating unit of an alkylene glycol having 2-4 carbon atoms; R4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms; and n represents the number of repeating units of the aforesaid alkylene glycol.)."
