MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090499 A) filed by Basque Center For Macromolecular Design And Engineering, Polymat Fundazioa; and Universidad Del Pais Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, Gipuzkoa, Spain, on Sept. 22, for 'polycarbonate foam material, precursor composition and kit thereof.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a composition useful for the formation of polycarbonate foams with no need of external blowing agent. The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of a polycarbonate foam, to a polycarbonate foam resulting from said process and to a kit of parts for the preparation of a polycarbonate foam."
