MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621004386 A) filed by Dr. Bhushan Prakash Pimple; Dr. Mohini Chetan Kuchekar; Dr. Praveen Digambar Chaudhari; and Progressive Education Society's Modern College Of Pharmacy, Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 16, for 'poly-herbal anti-acne soap formulation.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Bhushan Prakash Pimple; Dr. Mohini Chetan Kuchekar; Dr. Praveen Digambar Chaudhari; Mr. Tushar Rajabhau Varat; and Ms. Shubhangi Arun Ugalmogale.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to cosmetic and dermatological formulations, 5 specifically to herbal anti-acne cleansing soap incorporating essential oils such as citral, cinnamaldehyde, menthol, and tea tree oil exhibiting antimicrobial, antioxidant and cleansing properties. The soap formulation depicts superior foaming, cleansing, detergency and dirt dispersion performance. It maintains acceptable skin-friendly 10 pH and reduces dependency on antibiotic-based anti-acne treatments."
