MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013469 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'pole shifting device for ground surface.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A pole shifting device for ground surface comprises a platform 1 including a touch enabled screen 2 for enabling the user to enter a desired location, a camera 3 for capturing images of the pole, an inverted U- shaped frame 4 including an expandable motorized clamp 5 placed via a horizontal bar 6 for gripping the pole, a set of C-shaped extendable members 7 installed via L-shaped telescopically operated rod 8 for enclosing the pole between the members 7, a set of C-shaped units 9 for digging ground surface to extract the pole, a GPS module for fetching exact location of platform, multiple motorized omnidirectional wheels 10 for maneuvering the platform to the desired location, and an L-shaped telescopically operated link 11 configured with a drilling unit 12 for digging a hole of same diameter in ground surface and affixing the pole within the ground."
