MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067465 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on July 15, for 'plated steel sheet.'
Inventor(s) include Mitsunobu, Takuya; Uranaka, Masaaki; Matsuba, Masahiro; and Nishikado, Minae.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The plated steel sheet according to the present invention has on at least part of the surface of the steel sheet a plating layer having a chemical composition containing, in mass%, Al: 0.50 to 4.50, Mg: 0.50 to less than 3.00%, Fe: 0.01 to 15.00%, selectively containing one or more selected from the group consisting of the following element group A, element group B, element group C, element group D, element group E, element group F, and element group G, and with the remainder being 5.00 mass% or more of Zn and impurities. In measurement results obtained by measuring the plating layer by an x-ray diffraction method, the peak intensity ratio I100/I002 of the peak intensity I100 corresponding to the (100) plane of the MgZn2 phase and the peak intensity I002 corresponding to the (002) plane is 2.50 or more."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 26, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/046754.
